The Visualizer Died With iTunes. We Performed the Resurrection.

GRIEVANCE NO. 005. FILED AS: RESOLVED. RESPONDENT: TWO DECADES OF VISUALIZER NEGLECT.

Let the record show that there was a time โ€” and the old-timers in the band remember it โ€” when you could put on a record, hit a key, and your computer would dance. The iTunes visualizer era. Screensavers with rhythm. It was pointless and it was glorious, and then one day the industry collectively decided we didn't deserve it anymore.

What survived is an insult. "Visualizers" that listen through your microphone, so what they actually visualize is your speakers plus the dishwasher, room echo, and anyone who talks. That's not a visualizer. That's a hearing aid with a light show.

We wanted the real thing back. So we built the real thing back.

Relief secured

JellyDazzle. A native macOS music visualizer, and we mean native:

The paperwork

The direct download is live now โ€” signed and notarized, straight from us: JellyDazzle v3.0.2. Download, open, play something loud.

It is also submitted to the Mac App Store and currently sitting in review, where we imagine a reviewer in Cupertino watching routine 572 with the lights off. Take your time over there. The direct build waits for no one.

A TheRatsAsses / LIBCSystems release. The visualizer is dead; long live the visualizer.

Grievance no. 005 is hereby closed, with prejudice, and with the bass turned up.
